A Union State Tourist Information Center will be established in Smolensk
On June 10, 2024, a regular meeting of the High-Level Group of the Council of Ministers of the Union State was held under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk of the Russian Federation and Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Dmitry Krutoy. Deputy Minister Dmitry Volvach participated in the meeting on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation in the financial, transport, and IT sectors, the development of border infrastructure, unimpeded border crossing, and access to communications services within the Union State.
“We consider it important to fulfill the instructions of the Presidents of Russia and Belarus and ensure the abolition of roaming charges in the Union State, recognizing that this must be achieved by ensuring the use of communications services throughout the Union State at the rates of the home region, without additional charges,” noted Dmitry Volvach.
